On 10 May 2007 I hosted the Citywealth Magic Circle awards at the London Zoo. Top European Private Bankers and their Ultra High Net Worth clients were in attendance. As guest of honour the organisers were to arrange for me to be picked up. As it happens the event was sponsored by the Maybach.

Now for those of you who haven't heard of the Maybach, let me fill you in. The Maybach is a direct competitor of the Rolls Royce, and the car that I got picked up in, the Maybach 62.had in the same week been in the services of Dr Vijay Mallya and P Diddy. Like a little child I couldn't decide whether I'd rather lounge in the back like a king.or go up in the front seat next to the drive and explore the controls of the Starship Enterprise!

The hilarious irony was that the Maybach was only sponsoring pick ups. So while this struggling artist was picked up in a $400,000+ piece of machinery.he had to sneak out later when no one was looking.and catch the night bus home! That being said, a London bus is not a cheap piece of machinery.I barely know any individual who owns one.
